NMEDA, Who Are They?

Wants to Watch Sex and the City 2

Everybody is talking about Sex and the City 2. They said it’s a great movie. Since am not an avid follower of the series, I really don’t know what to expect of it but I am planning to watch the movie very soon. I want to have my own share of opinions for this movie. So excited to watch!

Political Posters

As our era of political tweeting and facebooking has shown us, politicians take time to catch on to technology. Once they do, they put all of their will and guile into it. Soon, that new technology becomes another tool in their bid to dominate whatever little world they want to master.

Such was the story with political posters. The first posters were hardly political, and the poster industry developed safe and secluded from political inclinations. However, sometime around the early 1900's, politicians realized that posters were a great way to encourage people to go to war for them. As a result, custom poster printing of political themes was in vogue, and leaders the world over began exhorting citizens to go to war through messages and images on posters.

Some of the most famous collectible posters have a political theme. Perhaps the most famous of them all is the Che Guevara poster from 1968. It stylishly depicts a young Che Guevara in front of a red "Marxist" background. The poster was created by Jim Fitzpatrick in support of the 1968 rebellion by Paris students. It has become a well-known icon of the Marxist movement all over the world.

Other famous political posters include the Uncle Sam posters created in the U.S. during the two world wars, and the Lord Kitchener posters of England, exhorting the British to defend their imperial nation against tyranny.

The other side of the Iron Curtain also saw large scale poster printing. The Great Patriotic War of Russia, St. Petersburg's famous defense, and the routing of the German Army outside Moscow were all made into colorful posters to inspire people to support the army and go to war. Even in the 1980's, brave artists splashed the Berlin wall with rebellious posters until it was brought down. Barack Obama's "HOPE" poster by Shepard Fairey has become quite influential.

Transferred Few Blogs to Self-Hosted WP

Maybe of you might wonder why I haven’t updated this blog lately. Well, you see, I have decided to migrate few of my blogspot blogs to self-hosted wordpress. I find self hosting to be more flexible in so many ways if really want to make more money online.

Using a wordpress blogging scripts has many benefits especially the plugins and the methods to which the search engines can easily access your blog without difficulty. Having your blog self-hosted also gives you the freedom to do to your blog whatever you please like modifying your permalinks and more.

Anyway, you shouldn’t worry about this blog because I don’t have plans of abandoning this. I love this blog because this is one of my oldest. This blog has been with me for many years now and I am planning to keep and continue updating this. I don’t want to be charged with virtual abandonment! :)
